Afghanistan coach Umar Gul’s wife requests him to go soft on Pakistan

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: Former national fast bowler, Umar Gul’s wife has made a special request to her husband ahead of Afghanistan and Pakistan clash in T20 Asia Cup to go soft on Pakistan.

Umar Gull is a bowling coach of the Afghanistan national team who has won its two pool matches against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh with huge margins just because of good bowling.

Pakistan and Afghanistan are likely to face each other in the super 4 stage of the T20 Asia Cup 2022.

Taking note of the clinical display by the Afghanistan bowlers, experts believe that it would not be an easy pill for the relatively bigger opponents such as India and Pakistan.

Fearing a good performance against Pakistan by Afghanistan again, Umar Gul got a sweet request from his wife Dr. Mariam Naqsh to go easy while playing against Pakistan.

The sweet joking between husband and wife gathered major attention on Twitter.

Pakistan have lost their first match against India on August 28. They will now play against Hong Kong in group A game on September 2.

On qualifying for the super 4s, Gul shared his excitement while congratulating his boys on Twitter.
