KABUL: Afghanistan defeat beat Cambodia 2-1 in the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers match on Tuesday; However Afghanistan failed to qualify for the tournament which will be played in United Arab Emirates.
The match was played in Dushanbe, Tajikistan and Afghan team scored both goals in the first half of the game after Mustafa Azadzoy netted the first goal in the 26th minute while Jabar Sharza scored the second goal in the 45th minute of the first half.
Cambodia scored its only goal against Afghanistan in the 69th minute.
Beating Cambodia was Afghanistan’s only win in the qualifying tournament after having drawn three matches and losing two.
