Aftab Sultan likely to be new Chairman NAB: Shah Mehmood

ISLAMABAD: Vice Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Shah Mahmood Qureshi has claimed that the government and opposition are trying to appoint to Director General of Intelligence Bureau as new Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

Qureshi said this while talking to media persons on Wednesday. He said that Aftab Sultan is on the top of the list for the appointment of Chairman NAB.

Qureshi added that PTI rejected the proposed names for the Chairman NAB as no one consulted with us and the recent appointment clarify that  everything between the government and opposition was settle down and adding that PTI will never be part of this process.

He alleged that the peoposed names for the Chairman NAB is likely to be Qamar-u-Zaman part 2 as both the government and opposition wants to bring their own man to hide their corruption.

Earlier, Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi met Syed Khursheed Shah discussed with him appointment of new chairman of NAB. Shah said that he consulted all the political parties except MQM and PTI and hoped that the name of new chairman NAB will be finalized very soon.
