Ahmad Noorani attack: Police release sketches of suspects

ISLAMABAD: Police released sketches of two suspected attackers on Wednesday after submitting initial report of the attack on the senior journalist Ahmad Noorani in Islamabad.

The Abpara police issued a notice said that anyone who providing information regarding the suspects will be given a prize of Rs 200,000 and the names of informants would be kept in secret.

The pictures of six suspects, in the attack have been sent to NADRA for identification. Senior Journalist Ahmad Noorani was attacked in federal capital on October 27, when six men stopped his car travelling on a motorcycle near Zero Point Interchange while he was on his way home in Islamabad from Rawalpindi.

The attackers speed away on the two bikes, with no license plates, towards Zero Point after onlookers began gathering at the site and traffic started coming to a halt on the busy road.

Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal visited Noorani on Tuesday and said that he is personally supervising the investigation of the attack.
