Ahmad stuns Junaid

Karachi: Unseeded Ahmad Hassan pulled an impressive upset against third seed Junaid Khan after thrilling battle in the first round of 8th Rehana Nazar Rashidabad National Junior Squash 2019 underway at Rehana Nazar Squash Complex in Rashidabad, Tandoallahayar.

Junaid won first two sets but Ahmad made a strong comeback in crucial third set winning the set in tie-breaks to stay in the game. He went on to win the next two sets to record a thrilling 8-11, 10-12, 12-10, 11-7, 11-8 victory and a place in quarterfinals of boys U-19 event. In girls U-19 first round, which was technically quarterfinals, Nimra Aqeel found tough resistance from Sibgha Arshad before winning the match by 11-9, 8-11, 11-9, 6-11, 11-2 score.
