Aimal Wali demands judicial commission over killing of ANP leader in Bajaur

F.P. Report

BAJAUR: Awami National Party (ANP) Chief Aimal Wali Khan has strongly condemned the killing of senior party leader Maulana Khan Zeb in Bajaur, calling it a tragedy not just for the ANP but for the entire Pashtun nation.

Addressing a press conference in Peshawar, Aimal Wali revealed that, according to information received by the party, the identity of Khan Zeb’s killers is already known. “Maulana Khan Zeb was martyred in broad daylight in a bustling city, not in any area dominated by armed groups,” he said.

Drawing a sharp contrast, he questioned the delay in justice: “When a TikToker is murdered in Punjab, the killer is arrested within a day. But our respected scholar was martyred on his birthday, and we still have no answers.”

Aimal Wali further said attention notices have already been submitted in the Senate regarding Khan Zeb’s murder, and announced that he would be writing a formal letter to the Prime Minister, demanding the formation of a judicial commission led by the Chief Justice.

“A member of Shaheed Khan Zeb’s family must be included in that commission,” he said.

“If the Prime Minister doesn’t support me in this demand, I will go to any length to get justice,” the ANP leader warned.

He added that despite the martyrdom of several party workers in the past, the party had chosen silence, but not this time. “Enough is enough,” he said, visibly emotional.
