Washington DC: Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States of America, Aizaz Ahmed Chaudry while briefing Pakistani and foreign journalists said that the recent killings in Indian held Kashmir are gross human right violations and urged the leadership of US and the world to stop these brutalities by Indian government.
The ambassador said that there should be no double standards on human rights and the killings of innocent Kashmir’s should be condemned and stopped by the American administration.
Aizaz while replying to a question said that the unrest in Afghanistan is of the most danger to Pakistan and it is the desire of Pakistan to have peace in Afghanistan at the earliest.
In a reply to a question about Haqqani network the ambassador said that is just a propaganda that Pakistan is supporting the Haqqani network and that there is nothing for Pakisatn to gain by supporting such networks.
The ambassador said that Pakistan is very concerned about the presence of Daesh in Afghanistan and hoped that the Afghan government along with US administration should take concrete steps from stopping Daesh grow bigger and more lethal organization.
The ambassador said that Pakistan is fully supportive of Afghan led peace dialogue with Taliban and that Pakistan is fully committed to playing its role in this regard.
Aizaz urged the US administration to fulfill its commitment of bringing better border management system between Pakistan and Afghanistan. He said that Pakistan has built several posts along Pakistan and Afghanistan border but Afghanistan still needs to do that in order to stop the cross border infiltration. Better cross border management will reduce the misunderstanding between the two nations with regard to terrorists crossing into the two countries.
Ambassador said that “we have not spoken to American administration about the suspension of aid.” He further said Pakistan does not want aid while being disrespected and therefore US administration needs to first acknowledge the services of Pakistan.
Regarding Laskare Taiba, the ambassador said that it is a banned organization now and regarding Hafiz Saeed the ambassador said that courts are independent in Pakistan and if they have given some leniency to him then it must be done due to rule of law which is the right of every Pakistan.
