Ajmal Khattak remembered

PESHAWAR: Rich tributes were paid to the political, poetic, literary services of late central ANP leader, poet philosopher, writer and intellectual Ajmal Khattak over his eighth death anniversary held here at Bacha Khan Markaz on Wednesday.

The event was addressed by the central Secretary General ANP Mian Iftikhar Hussain, provincial leaders, office bearers and workers.

In his address Mian Iftikhar Hussain eulogized the efforts and struggle of late Ajmal Khattak for the promotion of democracy, literary and poetic services. From student life, late Ajmal Khattak participated in the movement launched to expel British Raj from the sub continent, restoration of peace, elimination of poverty and promotion of social justice.

He was a poet philosopher and journalists and wrote many articles in various dailies of that time including Daily Anjaam, Bang e Haram, Shahbaz daily and presented many programs on Radio Pakistan.
