KABUL (Agencies): The Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) wants to build shelters for internally displaced people and Afghan refugees returned from neighbor countries in capital Kabul.
The Ministry of Urban Development and Land said in a statement, that AKF wants to build residential facilities in Paghman district of Kabul for IDPs and Afghan refugees returned from Iran and Pakistan.
A representative of AKF during a meeting with Acting Minister Urban Development and Land Mawlavi Nomanullah Nomani said that houses that partially damaged or destroyed will be reconstructed and those who own land plots but do not have house would be helped with local people to build a shelter in an area of 30 square meters.
The Minister of Urban and Development and Land of Afghanistan thanked the Aga Khan Foundation and said that Afghan IDPs and returnees were in urgent needs of residential facilities.
