MUMBAI: Ready to collaborate with south superstar Kamal Haasan, Akshay Kumar will next be seen in Indian 2. After starring in Indian, Haasan will be seen in the sequel in which Akshay reportedly will be playing the role of a villain. Haasan had bagged the National Award in Best Actor category for Indian in 1996.

Interestingly, earlier director Shankar had approached Ajay Devgn for an important part in the film. On that, a source told a portal, “Both, Ajay and Kamal, were keen to collaborate on this film. However, for various reasons, including his prior commitments, Ajay couldn’t come on board.”

In the meanwhile, Akshay and Shankar became close since they worked together on the recently released 2.0. They were keen to work with each other once again.

Revealing the first look of Kamal Haasan from the film, Shankar took to his social media handle and wished all fans on Pongal. “Senapathy is back,” the poster declares as a white-haired Haasan point crossed fingers at the audience.
