Ali Jahangir to appear before NAB on March 22

Islamabad:  The newly-appointed Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States Ali Jahangir Siddiqui will appear before a five-member NAB team in Lahore on Thursday, Online sources said on Monday.In this regard, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has prepared a questioner under the light of documents, related to blame of corruption against Ali Jahangir.

The newly-appointed ambassador will be asked over 20 questions regarding his income, profit, tax submission, business relations with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and the benefits he took from different ministries during the ruling of PML-N.

A five-member NAB team, including a member from prosecutor branch, will probe Ali Jahangir Siddiqui at NAB Secretariat in Lahore.  The team will also probe Ali Jahangir regarding blames of over 40 arab corruption.

The newly-appointed ambassador will also be probe about many ups and downs in JS Bank. Ali Jahangir will also be asked about his relations with the owner of a major media group and the details of the loans he gave to the companies of the media group owner.A senior official said Ali Jahangir may be arrested if he could not give satisfactory answers to the NAB team.

Refereeing to former CDA chairman Inayat Elhai, he said that the former CDA chairman was called for a probe but later he was taken into custody due to unsatisfactory answers of Elhai.
