MUMBAI: Kangana Ranaut is flying high on the success of her recent film, Manikarnika. But the success did not come easy to the actress as she had to go through a row of controversies with her team during the filming and then the release of the film.

While several people from the industry came out in support of the actress, Kangana called out Alia Bhatt in an interview for not taking a stand and supporting her during the controversy. While Alia Bhatt did not make much of it and said she’d apologise to Kangana and hope the actress doesn’t hold it against her.  Kangana struck back with a response, calling Alia, “Karan Johar’s puppet”

While Alia kept her calm even after this comment, she did react to it during an interview, saying, “I would like to react to her personally if she has any complaints. I don’t want to talk about it in the media. As I have said before, I really admire her as an actor and the choices that she makes. She’s a very outspoken person and I admire her for that as well. If I have upset her unintentionally, then I don’t know. Basically, it wasn’t my intention. I didn’t do anything to get a reaction like this.”

Amidst the controversy, Alia Bhatt is currently in Berlin for the world premiere of her next film, Gully Boy that will release in India on Valentine’s Day, after which she goes back to work on Brahmastra and Kalank.
