LAHORE: Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday welcomed all political parties in the charter of democracy to strengthen the democratic process.
Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif, PML-N leader Hamza Shahbaz and Mariam Nawaz met him in Kot Lakhpat Jail.
According to the sources, his family members inquired about Sharif’s health, whereas Nawaz Sharif briefed them about the details of his meeting with Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
Sources further confirmed that he agreed with the PPP chairman on joint struggle for the democracy in the meeting.
Sharif also welcomed all political parties in the charter of democracy to strengthen the democracy.
