‘All private sector employees to get salaries, job protection’

KARACHI: Sindh’s provincial Minister for Education Saeed Ghani has said that all employees in the private sector will get their due salaries and no one will be laid off.

Speaking to the media in a press conference, Saeed Ghani said that private schools should provide maximum relief with respect to school fees. Sindh’s provincial Minister for Education Saeed Ghani said that people have been given the facility of paying off gas bills through installments and a suggestion for providing relief to tenants is also under consideration.

He said that the government has released funds of Rs80 million for rations and a committee for the distribution of these rations in all districts has been established. Sindh’s provincial Minister for Education Saeed Ghani also said that the government is able to keep track of the people who have received rations through the “Sindh Relief Initiative app” and till now, rations have been distributed among 215,000 people through welfare organizations; But, some people have been observed selling the distributed goods to retails stores, he added.

The Provincial Minister said that the impression that Sindh government did not do much for the citizens is completely false as Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto had given directions to carry out ration distribution discreetly. Sindh’s provincial Minister for Education Saeed Ghani said that the government has been providing rations to the needy on a scale never before seen in the country’s history.

Sindh’s provincial Minister for Education Saeed Ghani also said that 36 organizations including Saylani Trust, Edhi and Chhipa are on-board with the government in its relief efforts and all organizations will coordinate with respective Deputy Commissioners who will provide them lists of the deserving people.
