KABUL (Khaama Press): Afghan Embassy’s head of mission in Tehran Fazal Mohammad Haqqani met with Allah Gul Mujahid, a former member of Afghanistan parliament and emphasized that Islamic Emirate will try to pave the way for the return of Afghans to the country.
The Afghan Embassy in Tehran in a series of tweets said about the meeting with the former well-known Afghan politician and his interest to return to Afghanistan.
While emphasizing that Afghanistan is the common home of all people, Fazal Mohammad Haqqani said that the ruling regime will provide the ground for the return of Afghans.
Meanwhile, the controversial Afghan politician Allah Gul Mujahid has reported his possible return to the country in the coming future.
Following the return of the Taliban to power on August 21, hundreds of former government officials left the country and most of them migrated to the neighboring countries of Iran and Pakistan.
Allah Gul Mujahid was a popular political figure of the previous government, who was detained and humiliated by the Taliban security forces in the early days of the Islamic Emirate.
Following his release, Mujahid left the country for Turkey and headed to Iran after spending one year in Turkey, according to unofficial sources.
