Amir Khan hopes to set up massive battle against Kell Brook with a comeback win

LONDON (Agencies): Amir Khan hopes to finally settle his rivalry with Kell Brook in a stadium fight at the end of the year, if he makes a successful comeback against Phil Lo Greco.

The 31-year-old will have a British homecoming fight against Lo Greco in Liverpool this Saturday night, live on Sky Sports, and a victory could line up a big domestic battle with Brook.

Khan has joined Brook in Eddie Hearn’s promotional stable and believes the Matchroom Boxing boss can thrash out terms for a fight, with the Principality Stadium being mentioned as a potential venue.

“We’ve made it even more realistic to happen now, because I’m with Eddie Hearn and so is he,” he told ‘Amir Khan: Off Limits.’

“I think it can happen maybe end of the year. I would like to be in a stadium to be honest with you. I want the big show, definitely.”

Brook marked his comeback with a second-round stoppage of Sergey Rabchenko in March and Khan insists he rates the Sheffield man highly, despite their ongoing war of words.

“Kell’s a good fighter. I’m not going to say he’s a bad fighter, he’s a very good fighter, and he won a world title, so you have to respect that. “I think the fight between me and him would be massive, and that’s what the Brits want to see.”

But Khan says he would not suffer the same fate as Brook if he shared the ring with Errol Spence Jr, who ripped his rival’s IBF welterweight title away with an 11th-round stoppage last May.
