PESHAWAR: Adviser to Prime Minister Engineer Amir Muqam has said that on behalf of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and especially the journalist community, I thank Maryam Aurangzeb for taking interest in the issues of the journalist community of the province.
He said that owing to the security concerns faced by the province in the past, the journalist community had to face many difficulties. The adviser further said that all the political parties that are part of PDM participated in the coalition government for the sake of national interest so that the problems faced by the public could be solved. The adviser said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif proved to be an excellent statesman for being able to bring all political parties together.
The adviser said that he believed in the freedom of the media and strongly criticized Imran Niazi’s agenda of suppressing the media at every opportunity.
Adviser to Prime Minister and President Muslim League-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Engineer Amir Muqam expressed these views on the occasion of the visit to Peshawar Press Club. Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Maryam Aurangzeb, Secretary Information and Broadcasting Sohail Ali Khan, Principal Information Officer PID Mubashir Hassan and President Peshawar Press Club Arshad Aziz Malik were also present on the occasion. In the press conference held on the occasion of the visit, the aforementioned had a detailed discussion with the media representatives from around the province.
