Amir Muqam inauguratesrenovated auditorium at PNCA

ISLAMABAD: Adviser to Prime Minister for Political, Public Affairs and National Heritage & Culture Engineer Amir Muqam on Tuesday inaugurated renovated auditorium of Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA).

The Director General and other senior officials of PNCA briefed the Adviser to Prime Minister about the renovation, installation of latest equipment’s and state of the art seating arrangement at the Council Auditorium. Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Adviser to Prime Minister Engr. Amir Muqam said that present government is determined to highlight national heritage and culture of the country.

He said that PNCA aims to build an environment conducive to the flourishing of the arts, where the arts are accessible to everyone and artists and art groups have the commitment and resource and to excel at home and on the world stage.

Adviser to the Prime Minister directed Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) to focus on the promotion of art and culture in all four provinces with aim to promote the soft image of the country. The Adviser assured his full support in projecting the country culture and heritage at national and international level.

Engr. Amir Muqam said that PNCA should be far more active role in promoting art and culture so that it could get international recognition and people from various parts of the world visit Pakistan. Speaking about September 6, Adviser to Prime Minister said that September 6 was the day for paying tribute to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the defence of the county. He said that lets us pledge that we will defeat all internal and external threats through our unity as we did in 1965.

Adviser to PM said that the1965 war is a glorious chapter in the defence history of the country as Pak Army set magnificent examples of bravery on every front.
He said that the entire country including Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is badly affected due to flash floods and torrential rains.

He said that the floods have caused human losses, damaged road and infrastructure across the country. Engr. Amir Muqam said that flood caused huge loses in Swat, Kalam and southern belt of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Adviser to PM highly praised the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the armed forces for their rescue and relief operations in flood-hit areas.
He said that fortunately, in the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif who believes in work, all the departments collectively working for rehabilitation of flood affected people. He said that some people are doing politics in this testing time but we should avoid any such efforts and focus on the relief work.

He said that Pakistani nation is resilient and collectively working for the rehabilitation of the flood affected people. Engr. Amir Muqam said that unprecedented rains have played havoc across most of the country, resulting in loss of precious lives and massive destruction all around. Adviser to PM lauded that keeping in view the flood situation, PNCA organized an Art Fund raising event at PNCA to mobilize the community of artists to come forward in aid of the countless fellow countrymen.
