ANA Artillery pounds Taliban positions in the outskirts of Sar-e-Pul capital

Sar-e-Pul: The Afghan National Army (ANA) forces pounded Taliban positions with artillery fire in the outskirts of the capital of Sar-e-Pul province.

The 209th Shaheen Corps in a statement said the ANA Artillery pounded Taliban positions in Zanjik, Balghali and outskirts of Sar-e-Pul capital.

The statement further added that the Air Forces also carried out airstrikes against Taliban militants.

According to 209th Shaheen Corps, at least 3 Taliban militants were killed and 7 others were wounded during the operations.

The security forces also destroyed a mortar launcher of the Taliban militants, the 209th Shaheen Corps added.

The Taliban have not commented regarding the operations so far.
