Ananya Panday reveals King Khan was her real mentor

MUMBAI: Whether you admit or not, Bollywood star kids always manage to make their way to the headlines. The likes of Suhana Khan, Shanaya Kapoor and Ananya Panday always find themselves in the news.

We’re aware that Ananya is now an official Bollywood star, but she was spotted in the news often before her Bollywood debut. Ananya recently made her Bollywood debut with Punit Malhotra’s Student Of The Year 2.

During the promotions of the film, Ananya revealed that she and her girl gang, comprising of Suhana and Shanaya, were born to perform. She said, “When I was younger, Suhana, Shanaya and I would imitate them (our mothers). We were always ready to perform. Our parents wouldn’t even need to ask us to dance at a party. They would just say ‘D’ and we would start dancing.” She also revealed that Shah Rukh Khan was always there to motivate them. She said, “We have done some really weird things. Shah Rukh (Khan) sir always used to encourage us and do photoshoots with us. He would take our videos and make us feel like we are the best actors. He would show them to everyone and say: Look what they did.”

Even though Ananya’s debut film Student Of The Year 2 has received mixed reviews from critics, it is performing m well at the box-office. Three days after the release, the film has already collected over Rs. 40 crores.
