ANF personnel killed in traffic incident

PESHAWAR: An Anti-narcotics force personnel was killed when an overloaded dumper turned-turtle and hit his motorcycle in Chamkani on Wednesday.

Rab Nawaz, the brother of the deceased, filed a report with police and stated that his brother Adil Nawaz who was constable in ANF was on the way home when an overloaded dumper filled with marble become out of control from the driver and turned over and hit his brother motorcycle. As result of the accident, his brother died on the spot.

The driver managed his escape from the scene of the accident. Police registered a case and started an investigation. Meanwhile, a 55-year old man was shot dead by unknown individuals in the jurisdiction of Daudzai Police Station. Police said that one Akhtara Bibi informed police that her husband Jahangir was shot dead by unknown armed individuals. She added in her statement that they had no enmity.
