RAWALPINDI: Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Pakistan in 12 counter narcotics operations carried out across the country recovered 298kg drugs amounting Rs400 million in international market while arrested 13 drug offenders including a foreigner and impounded three vehicles.
According to an ANF spokesman, the seized drugs comprised of 257 kg Hashish, eight kg Heroin, 25 kg Cannabis, 7.4 kg Amphetamine and 1.3 kg Methamphetamine.
ANF Rawalpindi arrested a foreign bound passenger identified as Muhammad Asim Ahmad resident of Netherland at Benazir Bhuttu International Airport, Islamabad and recovered 4.5 kg Heroin.
In another operation, ANF Rawalpindi apprehended two accused namely Abdul Qayyum r/o Sargodha and Mukhtiar r/o Mardan at Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad while they were boarding for Saudi Arabia and recovered 1.5 kg amphetamine. In third operation, ANF Rawalpindi in collaboration with ASF arrested an accused namely Rafique Khan r/o Kurram Agency at Benazir Bhuttu International Airport, Islamabad and recovered 1.785 kg Amphetamine. The accused intended to board for Saudi Arabia.
In fourth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused namely Mian Saeed r/o Bunner and recovered 1.48 kg Amphetamine from the accused.
In fifth operation, ANF Rawalpindi in collaboration with ASF arrested a passenger identified as Umer Gul r/o Swabi at Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad and recovered 1.5 kg Amphetamine.
