World is experiencing global spread of terrorism and Pakistan had been one of the worst affected country. Major cities of Pakistan were affected due to terrorism in the past but Peshawar a home to huge majority of Afghan refugees witnessed some of the very brutal attacks. Pakistani citizens have faced huge losses in terms of lives and material due to foreign assisted/ funded terrorist’s activities executed through political, secessionist, sectarian, ethnic and religious fundamentalists sponsored by hostile states. Terrorist attacks staged in Pakistan have killed over 80000 people and inflicted massive damage to the Pakistani economy totaling greater than $67 billion.
Pakistan has issued a number of dossiers exposing Indian sponsored terrorism in Pakistan which include very specific information such as Bank accounts and Indian nationals involved. It also include number and places of training camps for TTP, Baloch anarchist and other groups. Indian intelligence (RAW) spent $1million for the merger of TTP with four other militant groups for terrorism in Pakistan. Indian RAW had also invested heavily to disrupt the progress of CPEC by attacking its projects through different groups. The mastermind of APS attack was Mullah Fazal Ullah (killed), other collaborators were Gul Zaman Orakzai, Omar Narai (killed) and Muhammad Khurassani (Afghan custody), all were in touch with RAW and NDS handlers in Afghanistan.
APS attack is one of its kind highly brutal terrorist activity which targeted innocent children and teachers. Basically, the attack was aimed to damage Pakistan’s armed forces sacrifices and successes in war on terror operations. Further the attack was planned and executed by Indian RAW and Afghan NDS to break the Pakistani nation resolve terrorism.
The darkest day in the history of Pakistan which commemorates every year on December 16, the innocent children who went to school from home did not know that their books and their bodies would be drenched in blood. Despite the passage of seven years, my heart cries for the martyrs of the APS tragedy every year in the same way. The tragedy of Army Public School Peshawar took place which embarrassed humanity. It was such a painful terrorist attack in the history of Pakistan. 7 terrorists dressed as FC (Frontier Corps) entered the Army Public School in Peshawar from the rear and went into the hall and opened fire indiscriminately, then turned towards the rooms and shot and killed the children there. A total of 144 martyrs and more than 113 people including 9 teachers and 3 soldiers were injured in this tragedy. The 132 children aged between 9 and 18 were rescued by the Pakistani army. 950 children and teachers were evacuated from the school. One terrorist blew himself up and six were killed.
The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) accepted and the organization’s main spokesman Muhammad Omar Khorasani told BBC Urdu correspondent Rifatullah Orakzai that “six of our attackers entered the school and also said that the operation was carried out in response to the military operation in Zarb-e-Azb. The attack is considered as Pakistan’s 9/11. After this incident, Pakistan Army decided to launch major operations against terrorists and eliminate them.
In the case of Army Public School Peshawar tragedy, the federal government sought time from the Supreme Court to file a reply and said that a cabinet committee has been formed to meet the parents of the martyrs. The petition filed by the government in the Supreme Court said that the martyrs of APS Peshawar tragedy died on December 16. The Prime Minister has formed a committee to meet the parents of the martyrs. The text of the petition requested that it would be appropriate to allow the outcome of the meeting between the parents and the committee to come to light, giving a respite so that a comprehensive implementation report could be submitted to the court.
The Supreme Court had directed the Prime Minister to hear the views of the parents of the martyrs, after which the Cabinet Committee was constituted on the directive of the Prime Minister. It may be recalled that, Prime Minister Imran Khan appeared before the Supreme Court of Pakistan in the Army Public School (APS) tragedy suicide note case. Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan in the hearing of the case said that it is necessary to satisfy the parents of the martyrs APS, they want action against the then authorities. On this, the Prime Minister had said before the court that I believe in the rule of law, we will take action.
