KABUL: As Afghan athletes have made major achievements in global Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) field in recent years, another Afghan athlete has Abdul Azim Badakhshi has also joined some of the prominent MMA athletes ranks to fight for Afghanistan.
Badakhshi is currently in India and is participating in Super Fight League (SFL) where several athletes from different parts of India have participated.
In his last appearance in SFL fight, Badakhshi managed to knock out his India-German rival.
He managed to knock out his rival in the first round of the match and seconds after the fight kicked off.
Badakhshi had also defeated his other rival from India during a similar fight last week.
This comes as Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighters Baz Mohammad Mubariz and Ahmad Wali Hotak scored more wins in Absolute Championship Berkut (ACB) nearly two weeks ago. The two Afghan athletes managed to defeat their Ukrainian and Scottish fighters during the latest ACB competition in Dubai on 23rd February.
Both Mubariz and Hotak are among the prominent MMA fighters of Afghanistan who have appeared in numerous international fights including in major events organized by the Absolute Championship Berkut.
