Another snow leopard died in Peshawar Zoo

PESHAWAR: Another snow leopard mysterious found dead in Peshawar Zoo as this was the third animal to be found dead in the recent inaugurate Zoo.

Director of Peshawar Zoo while talking with The Frontier Post said that death of the snow leopard was natural phenomena as the facilities provided to all the animals were satisfied.

Meanwhile Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Secretary Environment give direction to the officials about the enquiry of the death of snow leopard and those who were found guilty action will be taken against them.

He further said that an enquiry committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of Chief Conservator Wild Life KP which will submit their report in seven days.

He informed that according to the doctors and autopsy of the dead body of snow leopard the death of the animal was natural and there was no negligence from the administration of the Zoo. He added that the leopard death was not happened because of the weather condition of Peshawar, adding that the leopard was not purchase from anyone but it was with the KP government in Abbotabad for the last ten years.

Secretary Environment further said that in Peshawar Zoo well trained staff available every time to take care of the animals, adding that a doctor and two assistant were available every time in the zoo.

It merit mention here that in a short time three animals has so far died in Peshawar Zoo including the recent one is snow leopard, spotted dear and one wolf was died.
