F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: The PTI-led provincial government again taken a u-turn and decided to present the annual budget for the year 2018-2019 as it had earlier announced that they will not be presenting the budget.

Earlier, leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had criticized the federal government over the announcement of presenting the annual budget by saying that they had no mandate to do that.

Later, PTI Chief Imran Khan had claimed that their government in KP would not present next budget as it was the responsibility of next government, now the KP decided to present the budget.

Shaukat Yousafzai, Spokesperson of Chief minister KP, said that the decision of presenting budget had been taken in order to continue developmental activities in the province adding that they had informed the Party chief Imran Khan about this decision.

He added that the summary had been sent to Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra to call the assembly session.

Meanwhile, Awami National Party’s Central General Secretary and former Information Minister, Mian Iftikhar Hussain has alleged that PTI was trying to delay the provincial budget owing to allegations of corruption against 20 of its lawmakers by party chief Imran Khan.
