ANP forces kill 7 key ISIS group members

KABUL: The Special Forces of the Afghan National Police (ANP) conducted a night operation in eastern Kunar province killing at least seven key group members of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

A spokesman for the Ministry of Interior Nasrat Rahimi said the raid the Special Forces of ANP on Tuesday night conducted a raid in Chambel Village located in Noorgul district of Kunar.

Rahimi further added that the ANP Special Forces killed seven key members of the group including Mukhlis who was in charge of a group of 20 ISIS fighters in the province.

The ANP Special Forces also confiscated four weapons, three binoculars, hand grenades, foreign National Identity Cards and some other military kits.

The anti-government armed militants including ISIS sympathizers have not commented regarding the operation so far.(Khaama Press)
