ANP, JI to support doctors’ protest
TIMERGARA: The Awami National Party (ANP) Lower Dir on Wednesday announced to support the ongoing protest of health officials against the government and demanded of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to release all the arrested employees of health department and accept their demands.
The announcement was made by the ANP district president and MPA Haji Bahadar Khan during his visit to the protest camp of doctors and paramedics set up at Timergara hospital. Different teachers’ organizations and clerks’ community also announced to support the doctors’ protest. The doctors and paramedics continued to boycott duties at BHUs, RHCs, THQs and DHQ hospital in the district.
Addressing the protesting employees of health department Haji Bahadar Khan said the Pakistan TehrekInsaf government had forced all sections of society to think about their future. He said the country had been on the worst position of its history since 1947. He said the PTI had increased miseries of common people and government employees as it had done nothing so far to provide relief to them. He said he would also raise the issue of doctors on the assembly floor and would fully support their agitation for their right. The ANP lawmaker said the RDHA, an act passed by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was not for the better management of hospitals rather in was a step forward for privatization of health institutions as the government was unabale to run its affairs.
