ANP remarks on Imran wedding

F.P. Report

PESHAWAR: Awami National Party (ANP) central senior vice president Haji Ghulam Ahmed Bilour said third marriage by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf(PTI) chief Imran Khan warranted serious consideration about his honesty and righteousness.

Commenting on new marriage of cricketer-turned politician in a statement, the ANP leader equated it to a political explosion, adding it was raising questions especially for those who had earlier declared the latter as honest and righteous and necessitating to review their perception or decision on his integrity.

He said the country’s political history did not bear any example of politician to have gone to extreme limit to mar conjugal life and destroy family of others for own whims or desires, adding the step was highly condemnable. He said the particular act on the part of PTI chief was not only a contravention of values of Pakhuntoon culture, but humanity may also not permit to take such disastrous step, adding such flimsy decisions always produced dire consequences.

Moreover, he said the move was also detrimental to sacred relation between a spiritual leader (Peer) and his faithful l(Murshid), besides it left negative impact on mind of people in general.
