ANP workers convention held in Landikotal

LANDI KOTAL: Workers convention of Awami National Party (ANP) held here in Charbagh area of Landi Kotal on Tuesday. Beside provincial elites including ANP central sectary Arbab Tahir, senior leader Mukhthyar LaLa, Saqib Chamkani, local leadership of Khyber district and large number of the party workers participated in the moot.

Addressing on the occasion Arbab Tahir said that voicing for the rights of ignored people was part of manifesto of ANP and had never compromised on the rights of the masses.

He added that with joint efforts, the tribesmen got their new and respectable status and they would leave no stone unturned to strive hard to win all basic rights for the people of the merged tribal districts, being enjoyed by the residents of other parts of the country. He urged the participants to support candidates of ANP in provincial and local bodies’ election because they were truly guardian of the rights.

Mukhtar LaLa while speaking on the occasion expressed his delightful over merging of ex-tribal belt into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and stressed upon the locals to choose honest and genuine representatives of them in the upcoming provincial election. Keeping in view the previous record, the purpose of ANP was not to get rule but to serve the masses and with the intention they would field their candidates for provincial election in the merged tribal districts, he remarked.

President of Pakhtun Students Federation(PSF)Shahid Afridi said that time had come to contact all disgruntled volunteers of ANP, remove their grievances and be united to serve the society in better way. ANP, Khyber district President, Shah Hussain Shinwari said that a nominal political culture had been growing at the political scenario of the country that effected our values. He came on the Members Parliament from the constituency and the incumbent government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and said they failed to provide relief to the people.
