MINGORA: The district health department Monday launched anti-dengue campaign across the district as part of precautionary measures to avert any outbreak of dengue fever in the area that causes huge loss of human lives in past.
District Health Officer Dr Ghulam Sanjani who is supervising the field staff and imparting training to them said that surveillance teams have started working to identify the sanctuaries for dengue mosquito larvas. He said that committees have been constituted at district level to assist the health department teams in fumigation in various areas and anti-dengue drive so that the threat of dengue could be averted. Meanwhile, Director Operation Rescue-1122 Ehsan Dad Khan visited headquarter of the service here and inspected the machinery, vehicles and emergency kits and appreciated performance of Rescue staff. He said Rescue-1122 staff is always ready to deal with any emergency within shortest possible time and assured.
