Anti-state elements active to create anarchy: IG FC

WANA: Inspector General Frontier Corp Major General Abid Latif Monday warned that anti state elements that had earlier misled people in the name of Islam and Jehad triggering terrorism and extremism in the country had once again become active to create linguistic divide.

Addressing a certificate distribution ceremony at a vocation centre set up by Pak Army for those Taliban members who voluntarily surrendered to Pak Army and Political Administration, he said Pak Armed Forces and nation would defeat nefarious designs of the anti state elements collectively.

He said Frontier Corp was taking pragmatic measures to make those who were misled by Taliban, responsible citizen of the society, adding that setting up of “Ujala” vocation training centre for these people was part of the efforts. He said so far 473 people got training from this training center and became peaceful citizen and recently 135 more had completed training of plumber, carpenter, mechanical and other skills.

He further in order to provide facilities to tribal people FC would set up FC hospital, school and Sweet Home for orphans and street children in tribal areas. Maj Gen Abid Latif expressed gratitude to Mehsud and Barki tribes for providing land for FC Headquarters free of cost. Earlier he distributed certificates among 135 people who successfully completed vocational trainings from Ujala centre.
