Apex court orders to test Peshawar water from Punjab laboratory

PESHAWAR: The Supreme Court directed the authorities concerned to test the water of Peshawar city in Punjab laboratory to ensure that whether it is fit for drinking or not.

While hearing the clean drinking water provision case on Friday, Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar ordered to gather samples of water from various areas of the city.

CJP remarked that neither have a laboratory nor high quality machine in KP and adding that how the tests would then will be conducted.

CJP added that what kind of a province is this where the secretary is being paid than the chairman of Health Care Commission.

He asked that you are a very innocent man Mr secretary, how come a man working as your sub-ordinate is receiving higher salary than you?

Inspector General (IG) Salahuddin Mehsud presented the report of the case in the court. He told that security has been taken back from 1769 unauthorized people.
