Arthur wants to continue as head coach after World Cup

LAHORE: Mickey Arthur has expressed the wish to continue as head coach of Pakistan cricket team beyond the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup, scheduled to be held in England and Wales from May 30.

According to local news channel reported that Arthur has communicated his wish for an extension in his contract to the Pakistan Cricket Board, which has yet to make any announcement on the matter.

Arthur had come on board as the national team’s head coach in May 2016, following the resignation of Waqar Younis from the post.

Arthur coached Australian cricket team from 2011 to 2013, and before that his native South Africa from 2005 to 2010.
