Asad Umar announces to quit PM Imran’s cabinet

ISLAMABAD: Senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Asad Umar has announced that he is quitting Prime Minister Imran Khan’s cabinet as the Finance Minister, on Thursday.

This he announced while sharing this on his twitter handle, he wrote that PM Imran wants him to quit the Finance Ministry and assume responsibilities as Energy Minister instead.

He wrote, “As part of a cabinet reshuffle PM desired that I take the energy minister portfolio instead of finance.

However, I have obtained his consent to not take any cabinet position. I strongly believe @ImranKhanPTI is the best hope for Pakistan and inshallah will make a naya Pakistan”.
