Asad Umar says govt to strictly ensure implementation on SOPs

ISLAMABAD: Some important decisions were taken regarding the coronavirus at a special meeting of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) held in Islamabad on Monday. 

In a tweet, Federal Minister for Planning, Development, Reforms and Special Initiatives Asad Umar announced that it was decided at the meeting that implementation on the standard operating procedures (SOPs) would be strictly ensured, and for that, the Islamabad administration, as well as the provincial governments, had been issued directives.    

“In the NCOC meeting this morning we decided to increase restrictions of activities contributing to a sharp increase in covid positivity.

The provincial & ICT administration were also directed to tighten the implementation of SOP’s and a crackdown on violations that are taking place.

He said the meeting had decided to impose more restrictions on the activities that led to the spread of the pandemic.  The minister further said not only this, but the authorities will also launch a crackdown in the event of a violation of the SOPs.
