KABUL: The Afghan Special Forces have confiscated and destroyed a Humvee armored personnel carrier packed with explosives in Nangarhar.
According to the informed military sources, Afghan Special Forces conducted a raid in the vicinity of Nangarhar province killing 2 Taliban fighters. The soldiers discovered a military humvee that was likely to be used as a vehicle-borne IED and it was destroyed.
The sources further added that airstrikes in Qarah Bagh district of Ghazni province also left 4 Taliban fighters dead. The security forces carried out similar airstrikes in Tarinkot city of Uruzgan province leaving 19 Taliban fighters dead, the sources said, adding that the Afghan Special Forces also conducted an operation in Chimtal district of Balkh province killing 3 Taliban fighters.
The anti-government armed militants including Taliban have not commented regarding the operations so far. (Khaama Press)
