Asma Rani Murder case: PHC adjourns hearing till 29 March

PESHAWAR: The divisional bench of Peshawar High Court comprising of Justice Rooh-ul-Amin and Justice Shakeel Ahmad has adjourned hearing till 29 March in famous Asma Rani murder case, on Thursday.

The convicted murderer Mujahid Afrid had killed Asma Rani who was student of medical for refusal from marriage proposal in 2018 while court has announced death penalty to culprit.

However, a compromise was made among murderer’s family and victim’s family but the compromise has challenged by State on the ground that it may cause increase in such crimes.

During hearing Justice Rooh-ul-Amin remarked that Quran and Sunnah shall provide guidance in the matter and adjourned further hearing till 29 March.
