Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs Bitter Travels to Nigeria and Ethiopia

WASHINGTON DC: Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs Rena Bitter will travel March 24-28 to Lagos and Addis Ababa. In Nigeria, she will visit the U.S. consulate general in Lagos, where she will tour consular operations and meet with consular staff. In Ethiopia, she will visit the U.S. embassy in Addis Ababa, meet with our consular personnel, and hold discussions with Ethiopian immigration officials. The Assistant Secretary’s trip highlights our sustained commitment to the protection of U.S. citizens overseas and the facilitation of legitimate travel and immigration to the United States.
