At least 12 militants killed in Afghan forces operation in Laghman
LAGHMAN: As many as twelve gunmen were killed in operation jointly conducted by Afghan army Commandos and the Afghan Intelligence, National Directorate of Security (NDS), Special Forces in Laghman province of Afghanistan.
The governor office issued a statement in this regard and stated that the operation was conducted late on Wednesday night in the Alingar district of Laghman against the militants.
It added that the operation resulted into the killing of at least five militants, including two key militant figures that were sent to the area to inspect the insurgency activities of the militants.
Meanwhile, the Afghan army commandos conducted operations in Qasaba and Salingar areas of the district and as a result at least seven militants have been killed.
