ATC declares Iltaf Hussain absconder in August 22 violence case

ISLAMABAD: An anti-terrorism court declared Muttahida Qaumi Movement founder, Iltaf Hussain an absconder in a case of inflammable speech by him on August 22 which causes the violence in Karachi.

ATC judge Shahrukh Arjumand also issued ordered of arrest warrants of Iltaf Hussain and next hearing was adjourned till the arrest of Iltaf Hussain.

The MQM founder was already been declared absconder in five other cases. Non-bailable warrants for the MQM-Pakistan head, Farooq Sattar, and Amir Khan were also issued in five cases.

The cases were registered against the MQM leaders after the violence incidents following inflammable telephonic speech of the MQM founder when the workers of the party were on the hunger strike outside Karachi Press Club and on the directives of Iltaf Hussain they attack the media and other government institutions.

The party split into two factions after the incident, MQM-Pakistan and MQM-London. Sattar is heading the Pakistan faction while Nadeem Nusrat the London-based one.
