ISLAMABAD: An anti-terrorism court on Tuesday hearing Faizabad sit-in case, declared Tehreek-e-Labbaik chief Khadim Hussain Rizvi, Pir Afzal Qadri, Moulana Inayat Ullah, Sheikh Azhar and others proclaimed offenders in the case after their continuous absence during the hearing.
As the hearing underway, Aabpara police informed the court that efforts were afoot to arrest the accused.
Earlier, ATC had issued arrest warrants for Rizvi and other accused. Arrest warrants for Rizvi and other accused were issued in 14 out of 26 cases registered against them.
The Faizabad sit-in, which began in November 2017, had severely crippled routine life in twin cities.
