Australia outclass England in 1st Test of Ashes series

BRISBANE: Australian team started the Ashes series with a 10 wickets win against England in the 1st test of the series at Gabba cricket ground on Monday.

Australia outclass the visitors and England suffered a humiliating defeat in the first test of the series following Australia chased target of 170 runs in the fourth innings without a loss of wicket.

Openers David Warner and Cameron Bancroft finished the challenged and put Australia on a winning note in the Ashes series. Warner finished unbeaten on 87 off 119 balls with newcomer Bancroft hitting the winning runs to remain 82 not out off 182 balls in Australia´s 173 without loss.

Australian openers broke an 87-year-old Test record for the all-time highest unbeaten opening partnership in a successful Test chase.
