PESHAWAR: District administration and Traffic Police Thursday launched an awareness program for tractor trolley, auto-rickshaw, horse and donkey carts drivers in different parts of the district.
The initiative has been taken due to rampant number of auto-rickshaws, horse and donkey carts.
As these auto-rickshaws and donkey carts are lacking lights or reflection stickers that resulted in accidents. The purpose of the program is to create awareness amongst them.
In this connection, on the directives of the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Peshawar, Islamzeb, the Additional Assistant Commissioner (AAC), Irfan Ali along with Traffic Warden Incharge Unit, Mohammad Anwar Khan met with the owners of tractor trolley, auto-rickshaw, horse and donkey carts informed them about accidents and the prevention and installed reflection light on their back.
On this occasion, the owners of these vehicles took keen interest and assured full cooperation to administration in the prevention of these accidents and will also inform their other colleagues.
