Back-lock cases reduced 72% by district judiciary

PESHAWAR: As many as two lac 62 thousand and 864 cases are under proceeding at district judiciary while revealed in annual performance report from January to November 20233 issued.

According to details, during current year 99% cases were disposed off while total four lac 72 thousand and 330 cases were filed before trial courts at district judiciary. However, trial four lac 72 thousand 918 cases were concluded in the same timeframe.

Moreover, in the meantime as many as 21 thousand 181 cases were submitted at trial courts in districts of erstwhile Fata while decision ratio stands at 92% in which 19 thousand 399 petitions were concluded from January to November.

Under five years plan back-lock cases are deciding on priority bases while 72% cases are concluded in half time of strategy to end the burden. In 2020 back-lock stand at two lac 19 thousand and 754 while now reduced to 47 thousand 299 which is 72% of the total pendency across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
