DAVOS: The Badshah of Bollywood film industry, Shah Rukh Khan received human rights at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland on Monday for his work raising awareness about human rights issues.
Shah Rukh Khan was awarded with the Crystal Award by the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship for his work in promoting the human rights of Children and Women in India.
The Bollywood actor is also the founder of a non-profit organization working to assist the female victims of acid attacks and major burns injuries through medical treatment, legal aid and livelihood support.
While addressing to the ceremony, Shah Rukh Khan said that the powerful need to pick the barriers apart and work for the betterment of the world and assist the people who are in need.
The Crystal Award is given by the WEF to artists who make a positive change in society.
