Bank of Khyber continues to expand its footprint in Pakistan

PESHAWAR: BOK committed to better serve their customers and expand their footprints to make banking easy, convenient and more accessible.
BOK inaugurates state-of-the art ‘Branch of the Future’ RAAST Islamic Banking Branch at Hayatabad Medical Complex and Conventual Sub-Branch at Khyber Medical University Peshawar. Consistent with the Bank’s Progressive and Innovative brand attributes, this spacious facility is uniquely futuristic in its offering, providing customers with state-of-the-art facilities enclosed within a cutting-edge KP cultural modern design.
The ribbon cutting ceremony at the new branches was performed by Minister Finance and Health, Taimur Khan Jhagra, MD and CEO, Muhammad Ali Gulfaraz, Minister Higher Education, Kamran Bangash, VC KMU, Dr. Zia Ul Haq in the presence of other senior members of the bank.
This initiative is in line with BOK’s diversity agenda and its vision of creating a more diverse and equitable workforce, as well as the need to increase the engagement of women in financial services. The Bank has been recruiting an increasing number of women across all business functions, ensuring they are provided equal opportunities for advancement and success. Both of the branches managed by ladies’ staff.

As part of BOK’s strategy, BOK is aggressively pursuing branch expansion in Peshawar and KP province to claim its market as one of the largest commercial banks of the country.
Bank of Khyber’s Islamic banking operations and network achieved various benchmarks recently surpassing over 100 dedicated Islamic banking branches, achieving a more than 50 percent share in the business of the overall bank, and an overwhelming share in the profitability. The branch network soared to 215 with the number of dedicated Islamic branches standing at 110 whereas the number of conventional branches stood at 110 by end of March 2022, according to a quarterly report.
The Minister Finance & Health “Taimur Jhagar” speaking at the inauguration ceremony said that with the opening of the branch the long-standing demand of people has been fulfilled. Jhagara, congratulate the entire BOK Banking team on the inauguration of the new branches, marking another accomplishment in the Bank’s fast-paced plan to expand its Banking network in collaboration with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
