Best facilities must be provided to Hujjaj: Samsam Bukhari

LAHORE: Punjab Information Minister Syed Samsam Ali Bukhari has directed the departments and authorities concerned to provide the best facilities to intending Hujjaj (pilgrims).

He was addressing the Hajj 2019 Media Awareness Workshop, held under the auspices of the Ministry of Religious Affairs & Interfaith Harmony and Hajj Organisers Association of Pakistan at a local hotel on Thursday.

Punjab Information Minister Syed Samsam Ali Bukhari said, “Hujjaj are guest of Allah Almighty and Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), and therefore all possible efforts must be made to facilitate them in an efficient manner.”  

Punjab Information Minister Syed Samsam Ali Bukhari appreciated the mobile app initiative for the facility of the pilgrims, but he also suggested that group leaders should be deputed with senior and less educated pilgrims for their proper assistance, as it was not possible for them to benefit from the mobile app.

The minister said constructive opposition was always helpful for any government and appreciated Pakistan’s media role during Pakistan and India tense situation.

Lahore Hajj Director Rehan Abbas Khokhar said that the Ministry of Religious Affairs had declared training compulsory for the pilgrims.

Punjab Information Minister Syed Samsam Ali Bukhari said, “Hajj training schedule has been issued and it will start from March 21 and training will be held in all tehsils.”

Rehan Khokhar said Hajj training for tho pilgrims in Lahore would at held at Aiwan-e-Iqbal on March 30 (Saturday).

A documentary on Hajj rituals was also shown during the workshop besides distribution of certificates among the participants.

Dua was also offered for the martyrs who lost their lives in New Zealand mosques attacks.
