KARACHI (INP): The custom officials foiled a bid to smuggle foreign currency to Dubai and arrested three members of a family here on Saturday.
Custom officials said that during search of baggage of a family leaving for Dubai through international airline flight at Jinnah Airport Karachi, foreign currency including 70,000 Saudi Riyals and 3,57,000 Emirati Dirhams worth millions in Pakistan currency were recovered.
The recovered foreign currency was concealed in tiffons used for carrying food items and shoe boxes.
The recovered foreign currency was confiscated by the custom department and the arrested were being interrogated.
