Bilawal claims lawmakers of treasury; allies are in contact with PPP

KOHAT: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has claimed lawmakers of treasury and its allied parties are in contact with the PPP.

Addressing a public rally in Kohat on Saturday, Bilawal said that the PPP will give a tough time to the government in the Senate elections as it had already forced the government to talk to its own lawmakers.

“There will be a long march after the Senate elections,” Bilawal said, adding the PPP will send the incompetent prime minister home.  The PPP chairman alleged that the incompetent government was trying to end the CPEC project.

“We laid the foundation of CPEC for the people’s benefit. We thought about the development from Gilgit Baltistan to Balochistan with the Chinese economic progress in mind,” he added.

Counting the feats of the previous PPP government, Bilawal said his party renamed the province Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and would also save the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from an ‘incompetent’ and ‘illegitimate’ government.

“The main slogan of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was to end corruption, but after his government came, the whole world saw that corruption has gone up and up,” Bilawal said.

The public rally was organized at Kohat Football Stadium amid high security where the PPP workers flocked to the stadium to listen to Bilawal’s speech. The public rally was organized on the eve of Amjad Afridi’s joining the PPP.

Earlier, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari called on PPP members of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly including Ahmed Karim Kundi, Malik Amjad Afridi and Sher Azam Wazir at Peshawar.
